- Introduction
-
Through the five-year Architecture major, students can become certified as architects in Korea, based on which they will be able to obtain accreditation that is recognized in other countries.
It also complies with the program required by the Korea Architectural Accrediting Board (KAAB), which allows students to acquire degree certification in architecture education and is recognized by Canberra Accord-accredited bodies and the UNESCO-UIA Validation Council for Architectural Education (UVCAE).
It prioritizes education on design that, based on a sociocultural understanding of the architectural histories of the West, East, and Korea, fosters the ability to create innovative spaces.
The major also covers the basics of engineering, which alows for a wide range of artistic designs, and emphasizes eco-friendly designs as a means of addressing psychological needs and conserving energy.
Graduates are hired by architecture offices, construction companies, structural design offices, interior design companies, public or private research institutes, or construction data technology firms. They can also become public servants specializing in architecture or enter a graduate-level program.
