Managing personal information

Basics to Know Before Enrolling
- Graduation Credits Requirements: Based on Entry Year
- Check with your department (major) advisor to make sure you do not fail to graduate due to insufficient credits.
- If the (track) completion classification differs, you can change it after departmental counseling (only for errors).
Graduation: You must fulfill all the required credits, graduation certification, and graduation requirements (contact your department (major).

Character Education and Counseling Courses
- Included in the graduation certification requirement since the first-year class of 2015 (transfer students from the class of 2017), first-year students must complete 4 credits while enrolled, and transfer students must complete 2 credits to graduate (1 credit per semester).
- It is not included in the graduation requirement as a non-major course, and contact the department office for details.
Retake (C+ or lower only)
- You can retake the course only if it is open. If a course has been abolished due to curriculum reorganization, please check if there is a course designated as an alternative or similar course by each department before retaking it.
- You can check the 'Status of Substitute and Similar Courses' on the school website → Academic Notice Board. If the course has not been designated as a substitute or similar course, it is impossible to retake it.

Change the Closed Courses
After the end of the 2nd period, you can change your course to the same number of credits as your finalized course.
If the course you applied for (1 course, 3 credits) is closed, you can only change the course within 3 credits of the closed course.

- 3 credits A → 1 credit D and 2 credits C

Guidance for Faculty Children
- If your parent is a professor at HKNU,
- For elective and liberal arts courses: You should not take your parent's class.
- If the course is required, you must choose a different class.
- If the student who wants to take the course is the child of the professor teaching the course,
- The student must report the fact to the Office of Academic Affairs (82-31-670-5032) and submit a "Report of Enrollment for Children of Professors" form.

Lecture opening and closing
- Major courses will be taught when more than 50% of the students in the department or 15 or more students enroll in the course.
- Liberal arts courses will be taught when 25 or more students sign up for the course (* However, if it is unavoidable to operate the course, it will be taught with the president's approval).
- According to the above, courses with less than 80% of the minimum number of students enrolled will be canceled at the same time as the application deadline.
Students must check the university’s website or the department office notice to see if the course has been canceled, as they will be given a period of time to change the course.
