- Introduction

The goal of the Clothing Industry major is to produce workers who have the skills required by future industries (textile and fashion) and for the manufacturing of high-value-added textile/ fashion products. The curriculum is comprised of theoretical and practical classes that offer in-depth training in areas that require a high level of expertise (e.g. traditional clothing, apparel CAD, fashion design, fashion marketing, textile design), thereby giving students a competitive edge when seeking employment in the fashion industry. Graduates can pursue a wide range of careers, including fashion designer (contemporary fashion, technical, textile, hanbok, etc.), fashion marketer (merchandiser, visual merchandiser, shop master, etc.), fashion creator or editor, stylist (e.g. television, film, fashion brands), instructor, or employee of a large fashion company, select shop, specialized clothing brand (ready-made clothing, sportswear, innerwear, accessories, etc.), foreign fashion brand, or textile company.
